I love things that I know are good for my brain and memory. Acetyl L-Carnitine is supposed to increase the blood flow in the brain, help to generate the protective coatings around the nerves in the brain, and be involved in the production of ATP in the brain cells as well. I've been taking Acetyl L-Carnitine for about a year now, and the first time I took it it felt let my brain took a breath of air. With some things like supplementation it's hard to be completely specific, but I can say that I know that my memory and thinking capacities are better than they were a year ago. Acetyl L-Carnitine is certainly not the only thing that I take towards these ends, but I see it as a valuable piece of the protocol that I've been constructing towards optimal physical/mental health for quite a while now. I look forward to getting some more soon!
Pros:Seems to help with the mental functioning. easy to take on empty stomach - never any irritation.
