Alpha lipoic acid is a vitamin-like antioxidant that helps neutralize cell-damaging free radicals. Free radicals can contribute to oxidative stress, which plays a role in the premature aging of cells. Alpha lipoic acid also supports the regeneration of glutathione, one of the body's primary antioxidants.

Small in molecular size, so it passes easily through cell membrane.


Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) plays a role in antioxidant synergism to fight oxidative stress and free radical formation. As a coenzyme, ALA is needed to break down glucose for energy production. ALA also supports glutathione regeneration.
