As I get older, the more I struggle with digesting all forms of food. Food tends to sit in my stomach for hours. Sometimes a full 8 hours. this was quite annoying, because though food was still in my stomach, I would get hunger signals...apparently the last meal not making it all the way through meant that not enough food to feed my cells was available, BUT I could not eat anymore on top of what was already still there in my stomach awaiting breakdown. So annoying! HCL helps with the breakdown of my protein foods especially and prevent the constant bubble and burp and aftertastes of my last meal. I'm one of those persons that need to take beyond the recommended dose to see effectiveness. I need up to 12 per small meal...more for larger meals...I dare not eat larger meals though because of this issue. If it weren't for this supplement, I'd be going through symptoms of starvation in the presence of food.
