Product Description

Calm-PRT is a combination of ingredients designed to release stress and restore proper communication within the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis. Calm-PRT contains an extract of the adaptogen Rhodiola rosea , a source of biologically-active rosavins. NeuroScience's Rhodiola is standardized to contain 16% rosavins, which have been found to decrease the effects of stress and fatigue.

 Calm-PRT also contains SerinAid™, a high-quality preparation of phosphatidylserine. Phosphatidylserine is a major component of cell membranes, and has also been shown to restore sensitivity to desensitized cortisol receptors within the HPA axis. Glycine and taurine are included for additional inhibitory neurotransmitter support.
 
Effect of High-dose Rosavins on Urinary Epinephrine and Norepinephrine Excretion
 


When high-dose rosavins are used, NeuroScience has observed a decrease in norepinephrine and epinephrine values lasting up to 3 hours. High-dose rosavins are found in Calm-PRT.

My doctor prescribed Calm-PRT product when I was diagnosed with Adrenal Fatigue with high nighttime cortisol (I did a saliva test through Neuroscience). Without it, I would not be able to sleep through the night.
Pros:
Calms me at night and helps me fall asleep
Cons:
It's expensive

I would recommend this item to a friend.

I took the 3pills 2x daily as directed and saw little change. I was disappointed, especially at almost $50/ bottle.

My 10-year-old son was having problems with impulsiveness and controlling his anger and we tried everything (even therapy where he was diagnosed with oppositional defiant disorder). I finally went to see a highly recommended naturopath and after testing his neurotransmitters, she recommended three products: Calm PRT, Kavinace and Endo Trex.
After taking the supplements for about three weeks, I noticed his mood changing. He was no longer waking up in a terrible mood, constantly picking on his sister or talking back to his father and me. The longer he was on the supplements, the more pronounced the changes. He became much calmer (but not that drugged-out zombie like state I've seen in kids taking ADD drugs), more polite and could control himself in situations that would have made him lose it before.
After four months, money was tight and we ran out of the products. Approximately two weeks later, my son's previous behavioral issues started rearing their ugly heads again. Fortunately, we were able to order more product, and now he's getting back on track.
These products absolutely work and I don't know what we would be doing (or what my son would be doing) without them!
