Organic flaxseed oil is an edible oil derived from the seeds of the flax plant (Linum usitatissimum) and is one of the best sources of the Omega-3 fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid. Organic flaxseed oil also provides the most concentrated vegetarian source of Omega-3 fatty acids found in nature. Flaxseed oil helps to balance the production of prostaglandins. The flaxseed oil that is used in this product is produced using a unique cold processing method. The organic flaxseeds are pressed at very cold temperatures and are processed without solvents. In addition, the oil for our softgels is dispensed and processed under a nitrogen blanket to safeguard it from oxygen exposure then encased in an amber-colored gelatin shell to continue to protect the active elements from white light. This ensures that our organic flaxseed oil retains its integrity.
