This helps quite a bit with appetite suppression. Brigham tea (herb) is the main feature of this blend. Brigham tea is associated with ephedra, but ephedra that was reported to have negative side effects some years ago was from pharmaceutical isolation from the other balancing properties in the whole plant. This blend, as all other Dr Christopher's products are 100% pure plant components, balanced with the whole herb components of the other herbs in the blend.
Supposedly, one of the features of this tea is stimulation (ephedra in the Brigham), but I didn't really notice a stimulatory effect -I'm use to caffeine's stimulation so maybe I was expecting too much -there is no caffeine in Brigham as far as I know from research. It is advised that you not consume it after 2pm though. Everyone's biochemistry IS different so it may or may not give you a push.
I use it to make tea. The peppery taste come through mostly. I make it just like I make "bulletproof" coffee (with MCT oil, grassfed butter, vanilla and cinnamon, and bit of a sweetener -I like coconut sugar best)....really nice flavor that is reminiscent of Chai tea. Fantastic. Making it this way enhances this blend's appetite suppressing-effects. I drink in the early am/7am...energy is steady for hours, and not hungry until some time after 3pm (this is what some refer to as intermittent fasting).
Pros:Purity of herbs
Cons:There's not enough info from the company about how to dose for best effect...
