Multigenics Intensive Care without Iron by Metagenics provides the same high-quality ingredients formulated for enhanced bioavailability as Multigenics® Intensive Care, but without the added iron. Multigenics Intensive Care without Iron is designed for individuals who may already be receiving adequate levels of dietary iron, so they do not need to supplement.

Vitamin D

This formula provides 400 IU of vitamin D to help support those who are not getting enough from sun exposure or diet. It is also beneficial for those who have less efficient intestinal absorption capabilities or reduced capacity to synthesize vitamin D. The main function of vitamin D is to help maintain normal blood levels of calcium and phosphorous. As such, it aids in calcium absorption in order to help form and maintain strong, healthy bones. Vitamin D can be used on its own, or as it is included in this supplement, along with calcium and other vitamins and minerals to help increase bone mineral density and decrease fracture risk. Studies have shown that vitamin D can protect the body from harmful conditions such as osteoporosis, cancer, autoimmune diseases and high blood pressure.

L-Glutamine

Multigenics Intensive Care without Iron by Metagenics also provides L-glutamine in support of a healthy intestinal lining. This is crucial for optimal nutrient absorption. Many recent studies suggest that the body may need more glutamine than it can produce during times of extreme stress. At this times, one might consider glutamine to be a conditionally essential amino acid, meaning that under certain circumstances, you must supplement in order to get enough glutamine. Glutamine helps maintain a positive nitrogen balance and helps support fast growing cells.

Multigeneics Intensive Care without Iron delivers comprehensive bone support by featuring the mineral complex and organic factors contained in microcrystalline hydroxyapatite concentrate (MCHC), and a 2:1 ratio of calcium to magnesium.

This formula also includes L-5-methyl tetrahydrofolate, which is a body-ready, nature-identical form of folate. Multigeneics provides natural source vitamin E in a 1:1 ratio of alpha to gamma tocopherols (along with beta and delta tocopherols). This is so that the included vitamin E more closely resembles the tocopherol profile found naturally in vitamin E-rich plants.
