Very dense protein source for vegans for anybody wanting to expand their food choices and utilize healthy plant foods. One serving also has 60% DV for magnesium, which helps a lot with many things in the body, but definitely colon regularity! I genuinely love the flavor of this product. Many people who say that hemp is "too earthy" I would say either shouldn't take it, or take it occasionally in small amounts to see if their body will adjust to the purity of something that isn't a cheeseburger :D. It is powdery and dissolves easily, yet still has plenty of fiber, which you shouldn't even have to think about as long as you are eating plenty of whole plant foods. The "fiber rich" variants of all hemp protein powders always taste unnatural to me, something I don't find normally appealing. I don't feel that people need to seek out large amounts of fiber if they are having issues with constipation, but eat more things like hemp, greens and seeds that are high in magnesium. Also overburdening the digestive system with too much food in general can cause constipation as I have discovered, even if you are vegan. Animals and animal products, will however, tend to increase colon stagnancy. So too will any refined sugar and an overabundance of processed foods. In the warmer months I will make breakfast smoothies with many berries and this hemp protein powder. Now since it is cold, one of my favorite ways to enjoy it is to juice a few large carrots with a know of ginger and add a few spoonfulls of hemp protein to start my day. Sometimes I also add it to soup broths.
Pros:well-ground (not grity like Manitoba Harvest fiber or other brands), wonderful flavor
Cons:wish I bought the 3 pound bag, will do next time!
