Discovered in 1952 by biochemist Ernst T Krebs and originally referred to as 'purified form' or amygdalin', this substance has been found naturally within over 1,200 different food types including - but not limited to - plums & cherries; oranges & nectarines; apples & peaches plus numerous raw nuts. As of today it's mainly obtained through apricots alone for widespread use amongst many individuals all around the world.
