Nothing ruins a nice meal faster than the digestive upset that may follow. Symptoms such as stomach pain‚ bloating‚ gas‚ and nausea can be uncomfortable or even painful. Occasional digestive upset is normal—especially if you've recently eaten fatty‚ super-sweet‚ or ultra-spicy foods—but if it’s a frequent occurrence‚ your stomach may not have sufficient levels of stomach acids and digestive enzymes in order to properly break down the foods you eat.

Low stomach acid and digestive enzyme levels may be caused by a poor diet‚ bacterial or viral infections in your stomach‚ the use of antacid medications‚ certain medical conditions‚ or the normal aging process.

If you have low stomach acid and digestive enzyme levels‚ you may be able to relieve or prevent digestive upset by taking a dietary supplement like Integrative Therapeutics’ Betaine HCL with Pepsin. Each capsule provides compounds that support healthy digestion. Pepsin is a digestive enzyme that may help prevent stomach upset that may help your body break down the foods you eat more effectively‚ which allows you to better experience the benefits of their nutrients. It also contains betaine HCL‚ which may increase the levels of hydrochloric acid in your stomach.

This 250-capsule bottle of Betaine HCL with Pepsin by Integrative Therapeutics should last you from 40 to 80 days at the recommended dosage. Take one or two capsules before each meal. These capsules should be swallowed‚ not chewed. This supplement isn't recommended for people who have heartburn‚ gastritis‚ or peptic ulcers. Ask your doctor before using this supplement if you're pregnant‚ nursing‚ or taking prescription medications.
