Lakanto® Classic is a zero-calorie sugar substitute that tastes and cooks like sugar‚ but with one big difference: its zero calories and zero glycemic index won’t affect your blood sugar levels.

Lakanto® Classic can be used just like regular sugar – it adds clean sweetness to coffee or tea‚ baked goods‚ fruit salads and much more!

This latest addition to the Lakanto® family is great for cooking as it does not alter the taste or color of your food.

Thanks to an extra-pure Monk Fruit extract made from early-harvest fruit‚ Lakanto® Classic has a clean and transparent sweetness with no aftertaste. The crisp flavor and texture are so close to real sugar – you’ll be amazed! Unlike bland‚ powdery sweeteners‚ Lakanto® resembles natural sugar and has no aftertaste.

Lakanto® Classic is made from natural ingredients and contains no colors‚ preservatives or additives of any kind.

This is the first time using Monkfruit sweetener after researching all of the alternative sweeteners verses sugar, honey,xylitol,agave...etc. Lakanto Classic Sweetener with Erythritol by Lakanto Monkfruit Sweetener is less harmful to our glycemic sugar blood and not chemically produced. It tastes great just like sugar, and I use less. The price is reasonable so far compared to other fruit sweetners.

      Pros

Easy to use like sugar, you can use less too.

      Cons

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Lakanto Classic Sweetener by Lakanto Monkfruit Sweetener as a great taste and texture in baked goods.

      Pros

Lakanto Classic Sweetener by Lakanto Monkfruit Sweetener is a fantastic substitute for sugar. It creates a similar texture as sugar in baked goods. It has a very low glycemic impact with good flavor and texture, a real win!

      Cons

In general, all sugar substitutes seem to effect the leavening slightly and may take some experimentation to adjust. Fortunately, even if they sink, you can eat the "failures" and try again.

It's slightly less sweet than sugar, but Lakanto Classic Sweetener by Lakanto Monkfruit Sweetener tastes just like sugar, so if you want the sweetness to be equal to sugar, just use a bit more of it.

      Pros

Tastes like sugar. Doesn't promote gas like some other sugar alcohols. According to at least one report, it's beneficial to your intestines and doesn't promote Candida.

      Cons

      The price.
I would recommend this item to a friend.

      Pros

That it's a healthy substitute for real sugar.

      Cons

      The cost.

I bought Lakanto Classic Sweetener with Erythritol by Lakanto Monkfruit Sweetener to use in a recipe for grain free muffins and it works wonderfully in addition to stevia. I usually mix sweeteners to get a taste close to sugar and this product did the job. You could try it on its own but it won't be as sweet as the sweetness dissipates through baking. I would also recommend adding a small amount of regular sugar: honey, coconut palm...etc. to get the best structural properties and rise out of your baked goods. All in all it's a great sweetener for those who've ditched sugar or can't have it any more due to health reasons.

      Pros

      Good alternative to regular sugar.

      Cons

      The price could be better.
I would recommend this item to a friend.
