In the quest for optimal health‚ there have been many surprising discoveries and finds related to different alternative and herbal remedies. Sometimes‚ it seems like every major product is being touted for its health benefits as well as its precautions every other day. Yet some products have been renowned and effective for quite some time.

Fish oil is considered a trusted product for wellness these days‚ but there was once a time when what fatty fish could offer a human was seen as a health risk rather than a reward. Scientists who came across the Inuit populations of Greenland were interested in discovering how native populations ate such a heavy diet of fatty fish and marine life like salmon‚ seal‚ and whale‚ yet still had healthy hearts. The explanation behind it turned out to be related to the properties of EPA and DHA‚ two omega-3 components that are found in fish oils. It was here that a health phenomenon was created.

DHA and EPA are vital in promoting most major processes of the body: brain‚ joint‚ skin‚ nerve‚ cardiovascular‚ vision and immune systems can all be affected. DHA supports good vision and mental acuity in the large building blocks of tissue in the retina as well as the brain. It also acts as a membrane structural component‚ and forms neural transmitters which are very helpful in brain functioning. EPA is helpful in working with the cardiovascular system by forming healthy prostaglandins‚ which act as cell activity regulators. Together‚ EPA and DHA also may help foster vibrant skin‚ good blood chemistry‚ and promote flexible joints.

Carlson Labs’ Fish Oil with Lemon Flavor provides all of the essential health benefits of fish oil with a promise for natural freshness guaranteed. Bottled in Norway‚ the product is tested regularly by AOAC international protocols to make sure potency and purity is up to standards. The product is sealed in nitrogen‚ and ten units of vitamin E has been added to each bottle to prevent polyunsaturated oil oxidation occurring inside.

“The Very Finest” Fish Oil with Lemon Flavor from Carlson Labs delivers a powerful mixture that provides 1‚600mg of omega-3’s per teaspoonful‚ including 800mg of EPA and 500mg of DHA. It also comes naturally free of vitamins A and D. Each 16.9oz/500ml bottle of Carlson Labs’ Fish Oil Lemon Flavor has a recommended dosage of one teaspoon taken one or two times daily at mealtimes. For peak freshness‚ this product should be refrigerated and used within 3 months.

Founded in 1965‚ Carlson Laboratories‚ Inc. has been a family owned and operated business for over 45 years. Through the years‚ Carlson Laboratories' product range has expanded to meet the nutritional needs of its customers. Carlson Laboratories is dedicated to providing only the highest quality nutritional supplements.

my kids, and myself, need to take this, per doctor's orders. kids are ok with the taste (i usually put it in some juice), and seems to be doing the job, getting omega-3's in us. hard to say for sure, but i trust our special docs and what we need to take. will continue to buy this going foward. although, my kids do prefer the orange-flavored version better, which i put in their small cup of OJ every morning. tastes really good that way.

Best tasting liquid Fish Oil. No burps or aftertaste. 2 teaspoons a day give you more omegas than 6 or more of any capsule version. Best way to get your daily omegas. Way cheaper then softgels because you don't need as many. No more back aches, knee aches. Skin looks 10 years younger (I'm 59).
Pros:
Great Taste Highest concentrate of omegas Gluten Free Bottled at the source

Great taste, great value!
May 15, 2013
I ordered Fish Oil Lemon Flavor as a recommendation from my midwife. Knowing that additional Omega-3's are very beneficial for fetal development as well as for breastfeeding, I was confident that our family needed to add this supplement to our diet. The lemon flavor does the trick in making the oil palatable for my family. My husband and five year old take it just fine, I have a bit of an issue with the texture (oily . . . it is fish oil) and need to immediately have a drink or bite of food. We'll definitely order Fish Oil Lemon Flavor again as it is a great value compared to retail stores that carry it. Also, if you are looking into buying the children's version of this, the nutrients are the same if you only give them a half dose - making your per dose cost less in the end.
Pros:
taste, cost
Cons:
texture

Tastes Great!
May 8, 2013
IMHO this is is a the best Fish Oil available. Keep Fish Oil in the refrigerator and the taste is very pleasant. I've been buying Carlson Lemon Flavor Fish Oil for several years from a different source. I recently tried Pureformulas for their lower price and found their shipping to be much faster. I've since canceled my scheduled shipment with the other source and will keep purchasing from Pureformulas.
Pros:
Quality and taste.
Cons:
Nothing

Tastier fish oil
March 14, 2013
My doctors have told me to take Omega 3 fish oil. I was taking capsules, but I was tasting them later. I am not a fish lover and did not like having this fishy taste. Carlson fish oil lemon flavor has a very mild fish taste and does not recur later.
Pros:
Tastier than other fish oils
Cons:
Because it is a refrigerated fish oil it is harder to take with me.

5 stars. Fish Oil Lemon is the best I've found. It's not yet another pill, I is easy to take, has a light lemon flavor and no fishy taste at all. I trust the product. I even give it to my dog to help her arthritis. It is wellworth the expense since this is a very important supplement for health.

Quality Fish Oil
June 24, 2012
My naturopath recommended I take fish oil for the Omega 3's, EPA and DHA benefits. I tried a different brand earlier but it was so oily textured and fishy tasting I couldn't swallow it. I take Fish Oil Lemon Flavor every morning right out of the fridge and the taste is quite tolerable. I've been taking it for at least two years. My lab work is coming back with good numbers and my memory seems to have improved -- don't know how much it has to do with the fish oil but I will certainly keep taking it.
Pros:
It's not fishy tasting.
Cons:
I feel it's a little expensive even at the discounted price -- but it is probably somewhat expensive to produce.
