Good Alternative Sweetener

I love xylitol because it has a very low glycemic index, yet still tastes quite good. I like to use it in baking. I use 1/3 xylitol and 2/3 regular sugar. Too much xylitol and any crispiness of your baked product is lost. Xylitol is also excellent as a sweetener for drinks, smoothies, or yogurt. The texture of this particular brand is nice. However, I'll generally put this xylitol in a coffee grinder before using. I find it easier to use it in powder, rather than granule, form.
